Having our ten year old son, Fin, diagnosed with a Brain Tumour in June 2014 was the most horrendous, life changing event imagineable. He battled with three operations, chemotherapy, a clinical trial and twelve weeks of daily radiotherapy. He gained 20 kg in weight from steroids, had partial seizures and lost the use of his left hand side, ultimately being bed bound.

He remarkably raised over £100k in 17 months to help others during his fight and had some incredible experiences, including breaking a world record for the longest line of teddy bears (15,534!) During his journey we found out Brain Tumour research receives less than 1% of national funding yet is the biggest serious cancer threat to UK children. A child dies every 3 days in the uk from a brain tumour.

Fin passed away on 25th November 2015. He was at home, surrounded by family. He fought so hard but in the end it was too much and finally he is at peace. Our hearts are broken and I don't know how we will ever manage to function normally again but he wanted to change things for others and we are determined to carry this on as his legacy.

Please help us to help braintumourresearch.org raise money to fund research into paediatric high grade gliomas and try and stop more children and young people dying from this horrific disease

We sincerely thank you so much for your support.

Very best wishes,
